Job Start is a 4-day intensive course supporting internationals in entering the job market faster. The course is developed in collaboration with our partners. The aim is to support internationals in developing and expanding their job-seeking tool box. Target group: international job seekers with higher education, those unfamiliar with Norwegian working life/culture, and those who would like to upgrade and adjust their CV to suit the Norwegian job market.
The course will include presentations and workshops that will:
* identify and describe informal and formal competence
* identify the pre-requisites for enrolling in formal education that is approved in Norway
* explore job seeking “tools” and systems (NAV registration, LinkedIn and others)
* help you improve CV and cover letter writing
* create awareness about cross-cultural communication, and Norwegian workplace culture
* shed light about the power of professional network and volunteer work
* share experience and allow you to get to know other international jobseekers
