SPEAK EASY: A Prohibition Musical Extravaganza

A celebration of the music made famous during America’s Prohibition (1920-1933) starring award-winning vocalist Carole J. Bufford. With classics from the Great American songbook made famous by the likes of Sophie Tucker, Al Jolson, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong, Annette Hanshaw, and more, this musical extravaganza travels back to a time when flappers, vamps ,and sheiks were shimmying in gin joints as a whirl of great social and political change happened all around them. DIRECTIONS TO JKV MAIN GATE

400 SW 3rd Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33060

Take I-95 to Exit 36 - Atlantic Blvd. When you exit, head east on Atlantic Blvd. to Dixie Highway. Turn right (south) at Dixie Highway and get into your right-hand lane. At SW 3rd Street, turn right (west) and get into your left-hand lane. When you see the Guard Gate, turn left.

Directions from the Main Guard Gate on SW 3rd Street to the Cultural Arts Center

Once you pass through the main guard gate, follow the road (don’t drive faster than 14 MPH!!) go around the traffic circle, and then at the dead end, make a right. Go past Westlake Towers on your left, then the Pavilion building will be on your left, just west of the construction.

Directions from the Dixie Highway Gate to the Cultural Arts Center

Once you pass through the Dixie Highway Gate, follow the road (SW 6th Street) past the Aquatic Center, past Cassels Tower. Turn right at SE 5th Circle. Follow this road past Gardens’ West, Seaside Cove, and at the Fitness Studio turn right. Go past the Fitness Studio and Trustbridge and then The Pavilion will be on your right. Staff will direct you to a parking space.

Parking is located just west of the Cultural Arts Center, which is next to the Westlake Towers.
