JJ writes, My motto, "Genuine Melodies,” serves as my constant reminder to always be open and honest about my life’s disappointments and challenges, as well as the incredible goodness of God over my life. I never want to create anything fabricated, insincere, fake or manufactured. Every level of my music is intentionally genuine, and reflects who I really am, without hiding the strange, quirky, revealing elements of who I truly am in Christ.
I grew up in a Christian home and it’s taken a lot to bring me back to this level of openness and honesty with myself and others.
