A little about the pretty incredible kid everyone is coming together for. 💛
Earlier this year, our family's world changed when James was diagnosed with cancer. During his treatment, he suffered a seizure, stroke, brain bleed and venous sinus thrombosis. He lost strength and function on his left side and spent weeks in the hospital and inpatient rehabilitation.
At just 11 years old, James had to work incredibly hard to regain things most of us never have to think about — walking, climbing stairs, using his left hand and simply getting back to being a kid again.
And he did. 💛
He went from needing assistance to walk, to using a walker, then a cane, and eventually walking independently. He worked through countless hours of therapy and continued to amaze us with his determination and resilience.
Then, in July, we received the news we had been praying for:
🎗️ JAMES IS IN REMISSION! 🎗️
He got to ring that bell, and it was one of the happiest moments of our lives.
Now, so many wonderful people are coming together to support James and our family, and we are so grateful & humbled.
Our family has been shown an unbelievable amount of love and support throughout James’s journey. We will never be able to fully express what it has meant to us. Thank you to everyone helping put this event together, every business willing to contribute, and every person who shares James’s story. 💛
