One of the Florida Highwayman Family, JImmy Stovall use to hang out with with the original Florida Highwaymen, making frames and learning how to paint in the Highwaymen style. He then was mentored by Johnny Daniels, another original Florida Highwayman for over a decade. He is also know as the 27th Highwayman or one of the 26 Highwaymen Artists "Plus 4". Jimmy will be teaching an oil painting class at Paint the Town Citrus, 14350 N Dale Mabry, Carrollwood area of Tampa 33618. He will be giving students step-by-step instructions on painting this Classic Florida Highwaymen An unforgettable experience with a very talented artist.
The class will be from 11:00 am- 4 pm on Saturday, and Jimmy Stovall will have original works of art for sale before, during and after the class. The gallery also has a large collection of Florida Highwaymen art on display and for sale.
The class is all inclusive meaning it includes beverages (coffee, soda, wine, beer, wine coolers, water & juice) food, and all the supplies needed to take home your 10x20 painting.
All for just $175 with a $10 discount for seniors(55), kids(17), Veterans, and 1st Responders and the painting will be on a l6x20 canvas. We have frames available for $55, to make your artwork really stand out and also make it easier to get home as oil does not dry for a while.
This is a fantastic experience to not only learn from a vary talented artist but to hear some of his stories of hanging out and learning from other Florida Highwaymen.
