Glick Fire Equipment is proud to be a Lieutenant Sponsor of the Jimmy Ellis Training Weekend, hosted by the Butler County Fire Chiefs and the Jimmy Ellis Firefighter Foundation, August 14–16, 2026, at the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Township, PA.
‼️🚨For registration or event inquiries, please visit the "Tickets" link for more information 🚨‼️
This event is more than a conference — it is a meaningful opportunity to come together as a fire service community to honor the legacy of Captain Jimmy Ellis by doing what he was most passionate about: training, learning, and sharing knowledge.
Captain James “Jimmy” Ellis was a firefighter’s firefighter. A mentor. A teacher. A quiet professional whose influence reached far beyond the companies he served or the badges he wore. For more than three decades as a volunteer firefighter, 23 years as a career firefighter with the City of Pittsburgh, 25 years in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, and a lifetime of service to the firehouse, Jimmy dedicated himself to making others better—on the fireground, in the classroom, and as people.
Attendees can expect a well-rounded and high-quality experience, including:
• Hands-on and live fire training opportunities
• Engaging large-group presentations from respected instructors
• A comprehensive vendor show
• Raffles and exclusive event merchandise
• Evening social events designed to foster networking and camaraderie
• A full host hotel experience to keep everything centralized
