PERENfra (“the Firm”) was founded in 2020 in Colorado by managing partner Jeff Nelson to invest in, acquire, develop, and operate essential water infrastructure. The Firm has previously deployed over $160MM in capital and they are now raising their first closed-end vehicle, Perennial Infrastructure Fund I (“the Fund”). The Fund will be focused on core water infrastructure opportunities with long-term contracts. With the U.S. projected to need about $130 billion annually for water infrastructure through 2039 (far above current spending levels) this gap presents an attractive opportunity for the Fund to help meet growing nationwide demand and drive positive impact.

PERENfra will pursue long-term customer relationships where most assets will operate under multi-decade contracts. The Fund is seeded with three water treatment developments serving Municipal Utility Districts in the state of Texas. These assets will deliver clean water and wastewater solutions for large housing developments and illustrate the types of investments the Fund aims to pursue. Which may also include water rights, pipelines, conservation projects, reservoirs, and stormwater infrastructure.
