With a trove of footage and a cast of characters endowed with the gift of gab, "The Catskills" journeys into the storied mountain getaway north of New York City that served as refuge for Jewish immigrants fleeing poverty as well as a lavish playground for affluent Jewish families. "One Life" is the bio-drama of Sir Nicholas Winton, who was responsible for evacuating over 600 children from Czechoslovakia, which was on the verge of Nazi invasion. Anthony Hopkins plays the British stockbroker of two German-born parents who takes on an important role in the Kindertransport, an organized effort to rescue children in the lead up to World War II. Helena Bonham Carter plays his wife Babi Winton.
