About this Event
Class Description
Prerequisite: Jewelry 101 or equivalent instruction; please email [email protected] if unsure if this class is for you.
Have you had a taste of jewelry making and want to push your skills further? This student focused class will provide a collaborative class environment where students can practice skills, receive design and tool consultation, and gain confidence to push your jewelry making further. Come with your own ideas, or just a willingness to learn, and learn at your own pace. This class is perfect for jewelry artists that already have some background knowledge but want to learn more.
The materials fee for this class is subject to the students project. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class in support of what the student is working on. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Cash.
Learning Objectives
- Work one-on-one with a Jewelry Shop mentor and share skills based on the project provided by the students.
Instructor - Jori Ward
Jori Ward is an artist currently working in argenteum and silver, having started her jewelry making in 2018 at MetalWerx. She moved to MA in 1999 and has raised 3 children here. Her work draws on history, expression, symbology, craftsmanship, and color. Jori believes jewelry is one of the most expressive mediums to work in, and invites new jewelry artists to explore the possibilities!
Target Audience
Jewelry artists that want to learn more about the craft through a hands on and skill sharing experince. Students must be 18 years or older

- Some materials provided for structured skill share demonstrations
- Access to A2's Jewelry Shop and tools for the duration of the session
Class Policies
Attire: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. We have some aprons available, or you may bring your own. A sketchbook for notes is useful. Bring eyeglasses if you need optical assistance to see tiny things well.
