LeMieux Galleries is pleased to present Jesse Poimboeuf NO SINGULARITY, Mary Lee Eggart Teach Us to Pray and Lisa Shimko The Hazy Clarity of Daydreams all opening on October 4th, 2025 during Art for Arts' Sake DOWNTOWN.
The exhibitions are on view through November 22nd, 2025. LeMieux Galleries is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
NO SINGULARITY is Jesse Poimboeuf’s newest exhibition at LeMieux Galleries. In his latest body of work, Poimboeuf invites viewers into a world shaped by the raw beauty and complexity of nature. Drawing on his constant observations of the changing rhythms of the natural world - its wonder, its brutality, and our place within it - this exhibition is an immersive experience meant to stir visceral responses. Each work is an exploration of connection: between species, between the viewer and the subject, and between perception and meaning.
Teach Us to Pray is the latest work by Mary Lee Eggart, LeMieux Galleries longest represented artist (forty years). In this deeply contemplative body of work, Eggart meditates on the beauty of nature as God’s creation. The Lord’s Prayer, often considered to be a summation of Christ’s gospel message, provides the spiritual and conceptual framework for Teach Us to Pray. Inspired by Christian iconography and moments of personal reflection, Eggart’s drawings reveal insights into faith, grace, and the relationship between nature and heavenly presence. Together, these works invite viewers into a sacred dialogue between the divine and the natural world.
The Hazy Clarity of Daydreams is Lisa Shimko’s first solo exhibition at LeMieux Galleries. Shimko invites viewers to step beyond logic and into the realm of daydreams with her latest body of work. Through a process of stream-of-consciousness painting, Shimko skillfully filters the complexity of the world through a lens of childlike wonder and subconscious play. This series is not concerned with hyper-realistic truth, but rather with an open-ended journey that celebrates curiosity, movement, and discovery. The Hazy Clarity of Daydreams offers a moment to leave reason behind and reconnect with an innate sense of play and imagination.
