We are excited to welcome much-loved journalist and broadcaster Jeremy Vine to Monmouth.
Jeremy impressed readers with his accomplished debut murder mystery novel and he is back with the second Sidmouth Murder Mysteries book, Turn the Dial for Death. He will talk about the series and about his early obsession with Agatha Christie which started when his mum gave him Hercule Poirot’s Christmas when he was eleven. By eighteen he had read all sixty-six Agathas. Forty years later he started to write his own crime novels…
Turn the Dial for Death
An impossible death. A seaside town on the brink. Stay tuned for murder…
Sidmouth is gearing up for summer – but murder is all year round…
When a doctor is found dead in the woods, shot through the heart with a crossbow, his wife is the prime suspect, despite an ironclad alibi. Desperate to clear her name, she appeals to radio presenter Edward Temmis for help. But Edward has troubles of his own. With his beloved radio station in crisis and a mysterious motorbike crash on the seafront, the doctor’s death isn’t the only problem he has to face...
Praise for Jeremy Vine:
'An intriguing, complex and hugely enjoyable small-town whodunnit' Janice Hallett
'Funny yet poignant, cosy yet complex, familiar yet unique, I loved this' Jennie Godfrey
Jeremy Vine is a journalist and broadcaster who reaches an audience of millions per week. He hosts a daily breakfast show on Channel 5 and a peak lunchtime slot on BBC Radio 2, presenting news, views, interviews and popular guests on Britain’s most listened-to radio news programme. He has previously hosted Eggheads and presents the general election infographics.
Turn the Dial for Death will be published by Harper Collins on 23rd April (£20.00). Rossiter Books will give £3 off the book at the event, one book per ticket.
