About this Event
Presented by the State Library of NSW Foundation and Piano+
Dear Library Supporter,
State Librarian Dr Caroline Butler-Bowdon and Mr Rob Thomas AO Chair of the State Library of NSW Foundation, in partnership with Piano+, invite you to an exclusive musical evening featuring the internationally renowned concert pianist, Jeonghwan Kim.
Jeonghwan Kim is an astonishingly powerful and sensitive young artist. At just 23 years of age, he was the winner of both the First Prize and Eileen Joyce Best Overall Concerto Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition 2023. Australian audiences were thrilled to experience the jaw-dropping energy and excitement of this remarkable pianist — certainly a winner to watch, well into the future.
This exceptional young artist will once again set the stage alight while performing selections from the works of Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and Bartok at the State Library on the evening of Wednesday 23 October.
Join us for a very special evening with pre-concert drinks at 5.30 pm in the Friends room, followed by the concert at 6.30 pm in the splendid Paintings galleries on the first floor of the Mitchell Building.
Please note, this ticket is complimentary for yourself and your guest. There are limited numbers for this event, so it is important that you register as soon as possible if you are able to join us.
Susan Hunt
Director, Library Foundation
Refreshments will be served in the Friends Room from 5.30pm. Concert begins at 6.30pm sharp in the Level 1 Galleries.
