With August comes the wrapping up of spontaneous summer adventures and the start of the school year! Our new cohort comes from all over with some from our very own state. Jentel Presents provides the opportunity for these artists to share their visual artwork writing and maybe a little music with our delightful Sheridan community. This event will take place on Tuesday August 26 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Feel free to bring your lunch; cookies will be provided. Jentel Presents is open to all who wish to join.
This month’s presenters include Stefani Farris Lander WY; A fiction writer; Stefani grew up in Maine and has deep roots in Wyoming. She runs writes and raises her son. Looking ahead to an empty nest. Elizabeth Delise Philadelphia PA; A composer; The one constant in Lizzy’s childhood was silliness and laughter. That is their center-- living in the space where passion and levity meet. Kelly McKaig Chicago IL; A textile artist; Kelly loves to read and usually has five or six books going at once fiction and nonfiction. She lives in Chicago and loves it. Soli Pierce Cortlandt Manor NY; A mixed-media artist; Soli is a curious playful Midwest spirit nature-inspired person whose soul lives in the forest and dances in the stars. CJ Hill Amherst MA; A multidisciplinary artist; CJ has attended multiple 10-day silent meditation retreats lived in a textile mill turned artist squat and constructed a studio cabin in the woods. Rucy Cui Menlo Park CA; A fiction writer; Rucy makes her own cat food with an industrial-grade grinder she procured while living in Wyoming from 2021 to 2023.

The Jentel Artist Residency offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment in which to further their creative development. While at Jentel visual artists writers and composers have the opportunity to experience unfettered time to allow for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land.
The Jentel Artist Residency accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media writers in all genres and composers in all genres for a three-week residency. A residency includes comfortable accommodation; common living dining and recreation areas; a private workspace; and a stipend to help defray expenses during the program.
