For the better part of two decades, Jeffrey James has held the guitar chair in the band of John Lee Hooker Jr., the Grammy nominated bluesman and son of the immortal John Lee Hooker. That role has carried the Bay Area guitarist from local clubs to concert stages across the country and overseas, playing night after night inside one of the deepest bloodlines in American blues.

Tonight he sets the electric trio aside. Jeffrey James: Unplugged is a solo acoustic evening, one man and six strings, the songs stripped back to wood and wire.
