Jefferson County Greenways' Native Plant Sale

The popular Jefferson County Greenways' Native Plant Sale in Birmingham, Alabama, is held every Saturday in April and October, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ruffner Mountain.
The public can shop for plants propagated from our greenspaces in Jefferson County, which helps them adapt to the local climate. Every plant purchased and planted helps support the local ecosystem and our protected greenspaces — Red Mountain Park, Ruffner Mountain, and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.
Whether you’re looking to enhance your yard’s habitat, attract pollinators, or simply enjoy the beauty of Alabama’s native flora, you’ll find a wide variety of hardy, beautiful native plants suited to Alabama’s climate. Our staff and volunteers are ready to help you select the perfect plants for your location.
JCG members can shop early the first Saturday from 8-10 a.m. and receive a 10% discount throughout the sale. It's not too late to become a member!
