Jeff Yates Memorial Chili Cook Off

The 2026 Jeff Yates Memorial Chili Cook Off honoring the legacy of Bobbie Blevins Randolph will be held on November 14, 2026. Entry fee is $25 per entry and two entries are allowed per team. There will be a sign-up sheet at The Thirsty Armadillo. Entry fee is CASH ONLY and can be paid at the bar. If you cannot make it to the bar to sign up, send your information through the messenger app within this event. All proceeds will be donated to The Epilepsy Foundation of Texas which is a 501(c)3, tax ID 74-2141084. Wrist bands will be available in exchange for a $1, $5, $10, $20 donation. Wrist bands allow you to taste each team's chili and vote for The People's Choice Award. First, Second, Third, and People's Choice Awards will receive a trophy. Set up will begin at 8 AM. Chili must be turned in by 3 PM. Awards will be at 4 PM. The event will be held at The Thirsty Armadillo: 2914 S Broadway St (Old Hwy 146) La Porte, TX 77571.
