In September, we will welcome Jeff Williams, longtime Arkansas outdoors writer and co-author of River to Ridge: Arkansas's Wildlife Management Areas.
Arkansas is home to an incredible network of 138 Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) that provide outstanding opportunities for fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, paddling, and outdoor recreation. In this presentation, Jeff will take us behind the scenes of these remarkable public lands, sharing the stories, history, and unique characteristics that make them such valuable resources.
Drawing from River to Ridge, Jeff will discuss the WMAs' history & purpose, some of the unique features of these WMAs, how AGFC manages these for wildlife and public recreation, and share some opportunities for anglers to discover new waters and outdoor adventures
