Join us for our April Flint Under the Stars Concert which features local Hip Hop artist and community organizer, Jeff Skigh!
With a voice and flow unmistakably his own, Flint, Michigan native Jeff Skigh brings a mellow yet refreshing bravado to every track. His breakout song “Good Vibes” gained national traction with the release of Hotbox Music (2018), solidifying his melodic rap style while capturing the resilience and spirit of the city that raised him.
Known for crafting creative, cohesive albums, Skigh blends introspective storytelling with feel good energy, delivering performances that are both captivating and community centered. His work reflects a deep commitment to Flint and Genesee County, where he continues to cultivate culture through music and collaboration.
With six albums and a growing catalog of singles and features, Jeff Skigh stands as a leading voice in Flint’s emerging music scene. A respected peer and mentor, he is dedicated to sharing platforms, uplifting fellow artists, and paving sustainable paths for independent musicians to thrive, on stage and beyond.
Flint Under the Stars is a concert series that spotlights local talent, held on the third Wednesday of each month under the starry dome of the FIM Capitol Theatre. This series, which supports local artists by providing them with a professional performance experience, features a donate-what-you-wish ticket price. All proceeds benefit KidsTix, a program that expands access to the arts by providing admission to live performances for children and their families.
$5 per ticket minimum donation to KidsTix is required at registration.
