First there was JEFF FEST. Now comes JEFF FEST 2 – a star-studded multi-act rock and roll throw down SATURDAY JUNE14TH 2025 at the EASTSIDE BOWL in MADISON, TN.
Performers will include a smorgasbord of Nashville’s elite ‘80s and ‘90s rock scene alumni, includingTHE WARNER HODGES BAND, DAN BAIRD & HOMEMADE SIN, THE ROYAL COURT OF CHINA,THE RUSTY NAILS,THE RAELYN NELSON BAND, LAMF, THE HIP REPLACEMENTS, SPECIAL GUESTS, and TOMMY WOMACK as emcee.
In late 2023, Nashville rock pioneer Jeff Johnson – bassist and founding member of Jason & The Scorchers– suffered a stroke that left him unable to support himself.A great many hometown heroes got together in January of ’24 for JEFF FEST, and raised a considerable amount of money to help keep Jeff in a good rehab facility. AGoFundMe helped out as well, but as we all know, being sick is much more expensive than it should be. Hence… JEFF FEST 2.
“Jeff’s making all kinds of progress,” Warner Hodges says, “but it’s expensive where he’s staying and nobody wants to see him have to leave.”(Hodges is a fellow founding member of the Scorchers as well as being Jeff’s lifelong friend.)
Jeff’s fiancé, Shulamith Walker, adds,“We had no idea, when this began, that we would still be in the thick of recovery a year and a half later, but we are, as Jeff regains speech and mobility. Jeff Fest 2 comes right on time. The needs are great and our mission is great. We love these amazing musicians, crews, fans who have become dear friends, who have surrounded Jeff and have not left our side, since! Grateful sums it up.
