Thursday on May 14! At 8pm! DW welcomes highly regarded trombonist Jeb Bishop @bishopjeb , coming down from Chicago. Bishop will play two sets. The first, crossing paths with storied jazz poet K Curtis Lyle, sure to be a treat, and a quartet with bassist Damon Smith @newmusicbass, pianist Aaron Smith (no relation), and trombonist Jeremy Melsha @ufovsusa.
Also, a fascinating trio featuring Kevin Harris @afterlife_laboratories on synthesizer, Madi Powers @m.aaadi on horn (French horn) and Steve Whetstone on daxophone (not a typo- a rare instrument, a kind of piece of wood that one bows to create a totally unique sound.)
