About this Event

As part of the Canadian Festival JazzWalk, this special showcase features high-energy performances from JazzYYC Youth Lab Band One and Lab Band Two, alongside dynamic student-led combos. From classic big band standards to intimate small-ensemble improvisations, come support the next generation of jazz artists in one of the city’s most vibrant cultural spaces.

Established in 2013, this award-winning ensemble is comprised of local youth aged 14 to 20. The JazzYYC Youth Lab builds on the strength of the Calgary music and educational community through expert instruction and participation in an advanced jazz ensemble and combos.
