Jazzhers Women Up Front Jazz Festival

Get ready to groove at the Jazzhers Women Up Front Jazz Festival! This vibrant, in-person event shines a spotlight on incredible women jazz musicians who are taking the stage with passion and talent.

Jazzhers Honor Band 2025 - Outstanding young women from across the state join together for a weekend of jazz excellence with a final performance as the opener for this year's jazz festival.

Jazzhers Select Combo 2025 - Some of the top musicians in the state will give a performance featuring the music of Charles Mingus.

Closing out the show is the Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra. The Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra (AIJO) is a full big band based in Boston that has recently performed with Bob Brookmeyer, George Garzone, Joe Lovano and Frank Tiberi at venues such as the Berklee Performance Center, The Zeitgeist Gallery/Lily Pad, the Western Front Club and Jazz at Lincoln Center Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in NYC. The ensemble performs originals and arrangements of Ayn Inserto, who is highly influenced by Bob Brookmeyer, Maria Schneider and Jim McNeely. The jazz orchestra has done 2 recordings; one with Bob Brookmeyer and George Garzone, and the 2nd with George Garzone. Ms. Inserto thrives to make her music swing with a modern twist and her orchestra will not fail to produce a thrilling performance.
