In the words of Graham Ord: "In the jazz idiom terms like inside and outside refer to the adherence to the chordal harmony (inside) or not (outside). Since this group has no chordal instrument the chord changes are implied by the collective harmonies created between the bass, sax and trumpet. Graham Ord, Heather Anderson, Mike Agranovich and Bernie Arai are all comfortable playing spontaneously so expect the unexpected."
