Our jazz series is back for the fall! Experience jazz at its finest on DelArt’s Steinway Grand Piano, with performances that perfectly complement the Jazz Age Illustration exhibition. February's featured Musician: Andrew Wilcox
Andrew Wilcox, a rising pianist from Boylston, MA, has established himself as a talented and passionate musician in Hartford, CT. Since moving to Hartford at 18, he has built strong mentor relationships with seasoned musicians, leading to performances alongside artists such as Haneef Nelson, Nat Reeves, and Jazzmeia Horn. Notably, he was called as a last-minute substitute to perform with Horn at the Newport Jazz Festival.
A dedicated student of renowned mentors like Rick Germanson, Ralph Peterson, and Stanley Cowell, Andrew has honed his craft and built a reputation for excellence. He frequently performs in the Northeastern U.S. as a member of the Haneef Nelson Quintet and Ed Byrne Quartet, while also leading his own trio and sextet to showcase his original compositions and arrangements.
