Join us for our third and final evening of live jazz and dinner in the North Barn as we honor this iconic genre and its impact on the world of music and beyond. Jill Connolly with the Eugene Uman Quartet will be performing on Friday, March 21st.
Jill Connolly, Wes Brown, Claire Arenius and Eugene Uman have been performing together for many years. Eugene and Claire appear on Jill’s beautiful 2005 recording, Venus in Transit. The group performs timeless compositions from the great American Songbook such as "Georgia on My Mind,” "On a Clear Day," and "April in Paris,” as well as deeply personal material such as Horace Silver’s “Peace,” Abbey Lincoln’s “Throw it Away.” Jill sings from the heart, but she also swings like crazy.
This band of long-time musical friends loves to groove, especially when propelled by drum legend, Claire Arenius and enhanced by the spirited solos by trumpeter Don Anderson.

The Thirsty Goat Bar will be serving Vermont craft beer, artisan cocktails, wine and nonalcoholic beverages during the performance.
This free series is presented in collaboration with the Vermont Jazz Center and is partially funded by the Vermont Arts Council.
