Join us for community jazz nights in the North Barn as we honor this iconic genre and its impact on the world of music and beyond. Dive into the rich history of jazz as world-class artists from across the region weave together a rich tapestry of sounds, styles, and cultures.Composer and pianist Eugene Uman presents the Convergence Quartet, featuring world-class vocalist Wanda Houston, David Picchi on electric bass, and drummer Jahian Cooper-Monize.
The Convergence Quartet balances an artistic tightrope, blending a variety of innovative and exploratory music that is accessible and groove-oriented.
When Houston joins the group, the vibe and repertoire embraces her penchant for singing soul and gospel music and classic jazz standards.
This free series, presented in collaboration with the Vermont Jazz Center, is partially funded by the Vermont Arts Council.
