For Vol. 4, we explore the catalogue of the legendary Ernest Ranglin alongside a mix of Jamaican grooves and bebop jazz - a fitting soundtrack to see out the last of summer and welcome in autumn. Led by Brixton local Guido Spannocchi on saxophone and flute, the quartet brings together some brilliant players from across London’s jazz scene:
Ky Osborne - Piano
A recent Trinity College alumnus, Ky is swiftly becoming one of London’s most sought-after young pianists, and definitely one to watch.
Jason Simpson - Bass
A long-time collaborator known for his laid-back grooves, blending dub, bop and dance music.
Wesley Gibbens - Drums
Sideman to Darius Brubeck and many more, Wes is the man for deep, pocket grooves.
Guido Spannocchi - Saxophone & Flute
Brixton local and the evening’s bandleader, bringing the quartet together for a journey through Jamaican grooves, bebop and the music of Ernest Ranglin.
Expect an intimate evening of live jazz, cocktails and laid-back grooves, easing us from summer into autumn.
