Pistache is an Amsterdam-based Jazz Manouche band born from a close
friendship and a shared love for the music of Django Reinhardt. What
started as informal jam sessions gradually grew into a band with one
mission: to share the energy, swing, and beauty of this music genre with
as many people as possible.
Inspired by artists such as Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Jean
Sablon, Billie Holiday, and The Mills Brothers, Pistache brings these
timeless songs to life in their own style. With close vocal harmonies, a
six-string violin, and an easy-going, intimate stage presence, they
continue to explore their own sound while staying true to the tradition
of jazz manouche.
The members of Pistache have performed at festivals including March
Manouche, Nuremberg Guitar Festival, Birmingham Jazzfest, Breda Jazz,
Dokter Jazz, and Django Amsterdam, and have collaborated with renowned
musicians such as Tcha Limberger, Fapy Lafertin, and Robin Nolan.
Whether playing a festival, jazz club, or intimate soirée, Pistache
delivers warm, energetic performances full of swing, charm, and musical
craftsmanship - with just the right amount of crunch.
