On Saturday, 19th October 2024, The Get Down Perth at Cypher Bar is taking you on a journey through the rich and diverse world of jazz. From 7pm, DJ Pilgrim of Funk will be spinning with Tash Thomas, aka DJ Cash Promise, for an epic 3-hour jazz listening session. 🎶✨
We’ll be diving into classic 1960s jazz, bop, fusion, jazz-funk, and serious sample-source jazz cuts. As the night progresses, expect to hear a unique blend of electronic jazz, leading into jazz house and then on to funky house for the dance floor after 10pm. 🕺💃

Tash is an incredible selector who brings depth and soul to every set. After living in London in her 20s, she was immersed in the melting pot of sounds from jazz to electronic, which has shaped her eclectic style today. Whether she’s hosting her popular radio shows like Giant Steps on RTR or playing at iconic spots like The Rechabite, Rosemount Hotel, and Astral Weeks, Tash’s passion for diverse sounds shines through. We’re thrilled to have her share the decks for this special free event! 🔊🎧
