We are excited to announce our petite, cosy workshop weekend June 12 to 14. We are very happy to welcome our facilitators to Bergen for the event; Gabs Novellino and Grey Armstrong.
They will be sharing workshops on centering community and connection through dance, and how it relates to the roots and shared history of dancing to jazz and blues music.
We want to create a thoughtful space. This means we have a clear purpose: to experiment and try new things together. When you sign up, please tell us about your dance background (eg Lindy Hop, Balboa, Boogie-Woogie, Blues, etc.) and any access needs or additional comments you have. We use this information to plan carefully for everyone.
No matter what dance you usually do, these workshops will give you new skills for the dance floor. You will also learn more about the music and the African-American culture that these dances come from.
