In the 1960s, Carol Sloane became an overnight sensation, praised as one of the greatest jazz singers of her time. She toured with icons like Ella Fitzgerald, performed with Oscar Peterson, and even rubbed elbows with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. However, her rise to fame was cut short during the British Invasion, leading to a lifetime of challenges and perseverance.
Now, at 82 years old, Sloane reflects on her remarkable six-decade career while preparing for her final live recording at Birdland Jazz Club. Through rare footage and interviews, this award-winning documentary explores her life, legacy, and the resilience of an artist pursuing her passion against all odds.
