Jayzwayz Productions proudly presents the official launch of the Jayzwayz Hip Hop Workshop Series — a new creative initiative focused on bringing authentic Hip Hop education, culture, creativity, and artistic development to the community.
Hosted at Archer Community Hub in Downtown Victoria, this special launch event features a full afternoon of interactive workshops led by Vancouver-based artist and educator Emotionz.
Designed for youth, aspiring artists, creatives, performers, and anybody interested in learning more about Hip Hop culture, these workshops focus on self-expression, confidence, creativity, artistic growth, and community connection.
Participants will get hands-on experience learning multiple elements of Hip Hop culture directly from an artist actively working within the scene.

ABOUT EMOTIONZ
Emotionz (Dave Nelson) is a Canadian rapper, beatboxer, DJ, graffiti artist, educator, and globe explorer known for blending music, creativity, culture, and community into powerful live experiences and educational workshops.
Currently teaching at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver, Emotionz works closely with youth through music, performance, and artistic development while helping students build confidence and creative expression through authentic Hip Hop culture.
With years of experience performing, touring, recording music, facilitating workshops, creating graffiti art, DJing, beatboxing, and mentoring youth, Emotionz brings real-world knowledge and energy into every session.
His workshops are engaging, interactive, educational, and designed to inspire creativity while introducing participants to the foundations and history behind multiple elements of Hip Hop culture.

THE ART OF RAP
Participants will learn the foundations of rap, freestyle, flow, songwriting, rhyme structure, performance techniques, and Hip Hop history in an engaging and interactive environment.

INTRO TO GRAFFITI
Dive into the colourful world of graffiti art and lettering while learning the foundations of tagging, artistic style development, and graffiti culture.
Participants will explore:
- Graffiti lettering basics
- Tag creation & style
- Design fundamentals
- History of graffiti culture
- Creative techniques & expression
Each participant leaves with their own tag/name and foundational knowledge to continue exploring the artform.

BEATBOX 101
Explore the creative and rhythmic world of beatboxing and mouth percussion while learning fun sounds, vocal tricks, and musical timing.
Participants will learn:
- Basic beatbox sounds
- Mouth percussion techniques

- Musical foundations through beatboxing
Perfect for beginners and anybody interested in creating music using only their voice.
