Jawnino - PITCH Scotland 2026

South London rapper Jawnino will headline Drygate on Thursday 03 September, as part of PITCH Scotland.

Jawnino is a London-based rapper who emerged with his 2019 underground hit "It's Cold Out”. Known for blending grime, jungle, and UK rap, Jawnino's music reflects the gritty, restless energy of London life. His debut mixtape ’40’ (2024) showcases a vivid storytelling style, weaving slice-of-life narratives with an eclectic mix of genres. Jawnino often conceals his identity, adding to his enigmatic persona. His music doesn't fit neatly into one category, instead drawing from various influences to craft a sound that's uniquely his. Despite staying in the shadows, he has gained a strong following in London's underground scene, collaborating with artists like MIKE, Kibo, and James Massiah. 40 explores themes of escapism and the beauty within chaos, capturing the complexities of urban life.
