We’re excited to welcome Jason Eady back to The Blue Door for an intimate night of songs and stories.
A lifelong songwriter inspired by the likes of Merle Haggard, Guy Clark and Willie Nelson, Eady has built his career on honest, beautifully crafted songs rooted in country tradition and delivered with the kind of storytelling that feels right at home in a listening room.
Growing up in Jackson, Mississippi, Eady began performing in local bars at just 14, absorbing everything from soul and R&B to blues and country. After serving in the Air Force, he landed in Fort Worth, began playing open mics and steadily built a devoted audience.
Since releasing his debut album From Underneath the Old in 2005, Eady has earned widespread critical praise. His 2012 album AM Country Heaven debuted in the Top 40 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, while subsequent releases have further established him as one of the most respected songwriters working in modern country and Americana.
Along the way, he’s shared stages with artists including Sturgill Simpson, Band of Heathens and Reckless Kelly—but there’s something especially good about hearing songs like these up close, in a room built for listening.
