Jasmine Myra is a saxophonist and composer based in Leeds, UK. As part of the city's vibrant, creative, and genre-crossing music scene, she has surrounded herself with some of the finest young talent in the north of England. Her own instrumental compositions have a euphoric and uplifting sound, influenced by artists such as Bonobo , Ólafur Arnalds , and Kenny Wheeler – artists whose music shares an emotional quality that can also be heard in Myra's own compositions.
She recently signed with Gondwana Records and is working with A&R and producer Matthew Halsall, whose keen sense of talent has helped to bring the music of GoGo Penguin , Mammal Hands and Hania Rani to a wider audience.
