Pronounced HAH-RAH-nah, the word "jarana" is both a noun and a verb, referring to a lively social gathering where people of all ages come together in a public space to enjoy food, games, music, and dancing. True to its name, Jarana is a dynamic band known for its energetic, danceable sound that blends South American and Mexican folk traditions with Latin dance rhythms and Mediterranean influences such as Flamenco, Rumba, and Salsa.
