Woodcut is a two part art form: there is the sculptural woodblock and then there is the subsequent print.Learn this amazing woodcut printing technique that stands apart from traditional western printing techniques! This 4 week class covers the basic technique and best practices of moku manga, or Japanese woodblock printing. Unlike traditional western printmaking, this is a predominantly water-based form of block printing that is highly portable and offers a method that can be less toxic than other forms of printmaking.
