Join Wine Down and Kibō Wine Co. for a one-night-only tasting that’ll have you rethinking everything you know about Japanese wines.
While Japan is best known for sake, a growing community of passionate winemakers is crafting wines that are elegant, distinctive, and deeply expressive of where they're grown. Together with Kibō Wine Co., specialists in Japanese wine, we've curated a lineup of six bottles from small, thoughtful producers that showcase the diversity and character of modern Japanese winemaking.
On Saturday, 1 August, we'll be pouring six Japanese wines— 2 sparkling, 2 white, and 2 red—alongside a selection of izakaya bites.
We'll share the stories behind each bottle—the people who made them, where they come from, and what makes them worth opening—then let the wines do the talking. Expect an evening of discovering bottles you don't often come across in Singapore, wandering between pours, chatting with fellow wine lovers, and enjoying wine the way we love it most—with good food, good company, and no rush.
Whether you're discovering Japanese wine for the first time or already have a soft spot for it, you're in good company. Come with a friend, or come solo—there's always room at the table.
