Japanese Tea Tasting

Join us at Apothica Teas for an afternoon of exploring the rich and diverse world of Japanese teas.

Our host, LaMonte Heflick, is a Certified Sake Professional (ASP Saké Education Council Feb 2014).

Also a tea enthusiast, LaMonte has done presentations and served tea in the Elkhart, IN schools, at Memories of China restaurant in Goshen, IN, at Sih Ye 四爺 teahouse Taipei, Taiwan and Apothica Teas, Niles, MI, as well as for the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association in Indianapolis, IN.

For two years LaMonte lived and worked in Japan at Toyota トヨタ自動車. Before retiring he was a speech-language pathologist in Elkhart, Indiana and taught Introduction to Japanese and Chinese languages.

During this event, you'll have the opportunity to taste a variety of premium Japanese teas, learn about their origins and brewing techniques, and discover which ones suit your palate best.
