About this Event

Akira Kurosawa’s Rashōmon is one of the most acclaimed films of all time. But did you know it is adapted from two short stories by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa?

On this course we will read these and discuss their transformation into film, along with more short fictions that became moves by outstanding Japanese authors including Haruki Murakami.

This course will run over 2 days: Monday 20th and Tuesday 28th July 2026.
