About this Event
Start the new year with tranquility and intention at our New Year's Tea Ceremony. This special gathering offers a serene space for reflection, renewal, and connection. Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of the Japanese tea ceremony, a cherished tradition that embodies harmony, respect, and gratitude.
In Japan, the New Year's tea ceremony is called "Hatsugama," a celebration of new beginnings. Together, we will share tea, expressing our wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity throughout the year. To complement this experience, we will serve "Ozoni," a traditional Japanese New Year's dish, symbolizing hope and renewal.
It is with heartfelt joy that I invite you to join us for this meaningful celebration. Let us welcome 2025 with mindfulness and shared gratitude.
Highlights:
- Traditional Japanese tea ceremony
- Enjoy matcha and traditional Japanese sweets
- Savor "Ozoni," a New Year’s traditional dish
- An opportunity to set intentions for the year ahead in a calming environment

The participation fee for this event is $30 for general participants and $20 for Shumei members. Please RSVP by January 10th to reserve your spot. Limited spaces are available, so early registration is recommended.
