January to March 2025_Group Virtual Tobacco Cessation Coaching Program

The City of Houston Group Tobacco Cessation Coaching program is a consecutive 8-week small group class, led by a Cigna Health Coach that focuses on a step-by-step plan for quitting tobacco and transitioning to a tobacco-free lifestyle. Each 30-minute virtual group coaching is designed to help tobacco users gain control over their behavior, using a variety of evidence-based techniques for individuals to combine into their own plan to overcome tobacco use. During this eight, 30-minute group coaching, employees will complete targeted assessments, set reduction and/or quit dates goal, to work toward overcoming barriers to quitting. Upon completing this program, employees are eligible for the City of Houston’s non-tobacco user discount. An incentive reward is being determined by the City of Houston for the Win for Life program 2024 – 2025. Spaces are LIMITED to 10 participants. Thank you

• This program is ONLY for individuals who are tobacco user and is ready to reduce or quit tobacco use.

• Please reserve your spot for the “Living Tobacco-free Program” at (Eventbrite link). Spaces are LIMITED to 10 employees per class.

• Please provide a complete mailing address to receive your FREE “Living Tobacco-free Kit” prior to the start of your workshop. It takes an average of 10 – 14 days to receive your kit.

• A reliable internet connection and/or phone connection is vital for your full participation of class and engagement of materials.

• FREE Nicotine Replacement patches or gums will be mailed to employees upon the completion of the Tobacco Initial Assessment and the Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRTs) questionnaire at class 1. It takes an average of 10 – 14 days to receive nicotine replacement therapy.

Your facilitator will send you the link and phone number to WebEX upon your registration prior to the start of the first class on Tuesday, January 14th at 11:30 am.
