PROGRAM:
“Learning to ‘SEE’ as a Photographer” by Clem Wehner. Photography is more than just clicking the shutter — it’s about seeing the world differently. In this lesson, Clem will outline how slowing down and truly observing the world around you — noticing details, light, and shadow that others might miss — can elevate one’s photography. Clem will detail how to find subjects that stand out, study a scene with patience, and envision composition before you even lift the camera. He will discuss how to “crop” in your mind, move your body and lens to refine your frame, and become more intentional with every shot. By training your eye to see like a photographer, you’ll start turning everyday moments into compelling visual stories.

If you’d like to share a few of your photos for the group to enjoy, please email them to [email protected] no later than two days before the meeting. Send your photos as .jpg files, if possible, and be sure to include the word SHOW in the subject line—otherwise, we might miss your email!
DUES:
Membership dues are collected in January—see Tina Traughber, WWPS Treasurer, prior to the meeting (starting at 6:15 pm) to pay. Dues are $10 per individual or $15 per family annually. Members are encouraged to volunteer at least 10 hours each year, which helps keep dues low. You don’t need to pay dues to attend regular monthly meetings; everyone is welcome. Paid members enjoy benefits like borrowing library items/equipment, free workshops and field trips, showing photos at the Arts for All Festival, and using our matting/framing room and supplies.
