We are delighted to have photographer Heather Fields to share her expertise with us-- particularly her knowledge of aviation photography.Heather Fields is a professional aviation photographer and the founder of On The Water Photography, based in Navarre, Florida. She specializes in capturing high-energy aviation imagery, with a focus on military aircraft, airshows, and behind-the-scenes access. Her work has taken her well beyond the crowd line, including photographing from an active aircraft carrier flight deck, flying aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk demonstration, and working air-to-air with elite performers such as the U.S. Army Golden Knights. She has photographed aviation events across the United States, Canada, England, and Wales.
Heather is passionate about sharing not only her images, but also the process behind them—preparation, gear decisions, safety considerations, access, and anticipating decisive moments in fast-moving environments. Her goal is to provide practical insight and encouragement to photographers of all levels who are looking to grow creatively and confidently.
