Clay Miller of Miller Custom Leather & Tool Co. will be vack gringin us his class of modifying, improving and customizing leather tools. Learn ways to modify inexpensive floral stamping tools with out having to buy big, expensive machinery. Clay will demonstrate how to change bevel angles and change stamp shape using grinders and files, how to add texture and checkering using hand files and checkering files, and how to polish to a smooth surface using sand paper and buffing wheels. Demonstrations will be on bevelers, pear shaders, veiners and other floral carving stamps using tools and equipment you probably already have or can get from any of the "Home" stores. Students will get an opportunity to try out some of the techniques. Materials to Bring:
Older Craftool bevelers, pear shaders or veiners you are willing to modify
Note taking materials and a camera or phone to take pictures
