Ecstatic dance is a free-form, non-judgmental style of movement and expression. Participants are encouraged to dance however they feel, without talking, drinking, or using substances. The focus is on personal expression, emotional release, and connecting with the body and music.The music usually starts slow, builds in intensity, and then gradually winds down, creating a kind of wave or journey. There's no choreography or set steps - everyone moves in their own unique way.
Ecstatic dance can be spiritual, therapeutic, or simply a fun way to move and release stress. No prior dance experience is required, come as your full beautiful self. We dance barefoot to help us ground and connect with Mother Earth. To protect the sanctity of this practice, no photography or videography will be allowed.
6-6:30pm - Arrival/Warmup
6:30pm - Opening Circle (Doors lock)
6:45-8pm - Dance!
