Understanding the Differences Between the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and GAP

This workshop is designed for growers and anyone who is responsible for implementing food safety at produce farms to understand the differences between regulatory inspections and food safety audits and certifications. During this workshop we will discuss the requirements outlined in the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and go over the most popular GAP certifications that buyers require. The goal is that you understand the differences and similarities between both programs and run your food safety program in a more efficient way. Finally we will discuss resources, tools and training programs that will help you prepare and strengthen your food safety program for the 2026 growing season.
