Janette King is a Caribbean-Canadian alternative RnB artist whose debut LP What We Lost landed her acclaim. Most recently, King wrote and performed on two tracks off Gayance’s album Mascarade which came out in March 2023 and landed on the esteemed Polaris Music Prize shortlist. King also released 2-track dance EP How Sad in June 2023 in celebration of Pride Month. Janette’s much-anticipated sophomore album will be released in October 2024 on Birthday Cake Records (Leith Ross, Begonia).

Janette King est une artiste de R&B alternatif d’origine caribéenne et canadienne. Elle a signé et interprété deux chansons sur l’album Mascarade de Gayance, paru en mars 2023 et finaliste au prestigieux prix de musique Polaris. Elle a également lancé en juin 2023, à l’occasion du Mois de la fierté, un court album de deux pistes dansantes, How Sad. Son deuxième album très attendu paraîtra en octobre 2024 sous l’étiquette Birthday Cake Records (Leith Ross, Begonia).
