Welcome to the wonderful world of reflections! This workshop will explore the potential of pastels using a simple still life as our subject. We’ll unravel the subtleties of reflective surfaces and learn to build the illusion of transparency.

The workshop will enhance your understanding of the technical areas of painting and how to use the creative eye.

The building blocks of line, tone, colour and edge will be discussed in detail, leading you to a better understanding of these important technical areas. Information will be given on the pastel medium, the pastel surfaces available and pastel application.

Enjoy clear, informative demonstrations and individual attention at your easel. You will use your own reference material so that you are exploring subjects that are your inspiration or your challenge.
