The Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery and the Department of Art & Design welcome visiting artist James Rose and his exhibition, Visible Spirit to campus. Beginning Wednesday, October 1st and 2nd, from 10 am -12:30 and 2-4:45, James will be drawing LIVE in the Maranville Gallery and sharing his process, his thoughts and time with our community. Free and open to the public, all students, faculty and staff. Come and go as your time allows. James Rose is a printmaker, and former Professor of Art at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Visible Spirit features works that explore race, fear, isolation, sexuality, struggle, and spirituality through self-portraiture.
Thursday, October 3rd, 5-6:30 pm, is the opening reception for his exhibition, Visible Spirit. Please stay, chat with the artist, engage with his intriguing works and share in this wonderful opportunity with us.
